Cooper Beaty was born of Quaker parents on a farm in Kansas and was
converted to Christ at age 18. He taught school three years after
obtaining a Teacher's Certificate from Kansas State Teachers College,
Pittsburg, Kansas, and at age 22 responded to the call to the
ministry. His first efforts consisted of jail meetings, street
preaching, and tent meetings. Rev. Beaty spent 29 years in the
pastoral ministry, traveled as an evangelist for seven years, and spent
the last 30 years as a full time instructor at Rhema Bible Training
Center in Broken Arrow Oklahoma.
In his denomination, The Friends Church (Quaker), Rev. Beaty served on the Sunday School board, the Bible College board, and edited Quaker Vision, the Sunday bulletin cover,for many years. During his last pastorate at Collinsville, Oklahoma, he furnished a weekly colum, "Light for Living," to the weekly newspaper. In 1974, he was granted an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from San Antonio Friends College in recognition of more than 30 years of successful ministry. He is also a graduate of the Charter Class of Rhema. Rev. Beaty is the father of three daughters, all born-again Christians married to fine Christian husbands.
