What We Believe |
1. scriptures (the Bible) written by men moved by the Holy Spirit are inspired and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, athoritative rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).
2. Our God is one but is manifested in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; each distinct in office from the others, and yet so perfectly one in character and harmony that they consitute one God-head. (1 John 5:7; John 14:28; John 15:26).
3. Man voluntarily committed high treason against God's Word thereby incurring not only physical sickness and death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26; Romans 5:12).
4. Jesus Christ has reconciled us to the Father. If man confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and believes that God raised Him from the dead, he/she will be saved. ( 2 Corinthians 5:18&19; Romans 10:9-13).
5. The Church celebrates two lasting ordinances. Water Baptism by immersion as a public witness to our spiritual renewal (Acts 10:47). Holy Communion consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine (1 Corinthians 11:26).
6. All believers should expect the promise of the Father, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). This experience is initially evidenced by speaking in unknown languages (tongues) (Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:14).
7. The Church is a fellowship of believers and is the body of Christ(Hebrews 12:23).
8. The bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe that sanctification is defined as a progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of spiritual renewal and continuing until the consummation of our salvation (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18).
9. Everywhere that Jesus went He healed the sick. The Church is commissioned to heal the sick. Therefore, Divine Healing is atoned for and is a privileged of all those who receive the Good News (Isaiah 53:4; Mark 16:16-18; 1 Peter 2:24).
10. Jesus was raised from the dead as the first-fruits of the resurrection. All who express faith in Jesus will experience resurrection to eternal life (1Thessalonians 4:16; John 11:25).
11. Jesus said that He would return to receive us to be with Him. The Second Coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, and the millennial reign of Christ upon the earth (Matthew 24:27; 1 Thessalonians 4:17).
12. Those who physically die in their sins without Christ are hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire, and therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The Lake of Fire is literal (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20).
